THE PLUG
Municipalities and Water Companies often have to shut off the service to the non-paying customer. Many of these customers are able to acquire a curb stop key or other makeshift tool and easily turn the service back on. With THE PLUG, the water company worker simply shuts off the service and inserts THE PLUG into the curb box where it rests on top of the curb stop. THE PLUG not only blocks access to the curb stop, it also simulates the actual valve handle when viewed from above in its position in the curb box. Any attempt to obtain water by turning THE PLUG will be fruitless, as it will rotate freely while having no effect whatsoever on the curb stop.
